Meditation

  • Meditation ... it's easy and there is no object. That's the beauty of it!
  • This ancient ritual can be performed anywhere, anytime. It produces results which pharmaceuticals seem incapable of.
  • Human and chimpanzees are the only creatures with the capability of conscious awareness (the ability to perceived self). Thoughts may seem intangible, but the storylines floating between our conscious and unconscious minds exert a powerful control over our lives on a daily basis.
  • As humans we tend to spend a great deal of time in fear of the unknown. We do our utmost to resist change and maintain control of our destinies. Change in life is however inevitable. The fear is generally perceived to be a negative emotion, which we either attempt to conquer or submit to. What if we rather chose to embrace and ride the the waves of change? Treat the fear as your friend. If you accept it, learn from it, and it'll soon disappear. But there'll always be another one around the corner to take its place.

  • Mediation is so simple and therein lies the biggest hurdle. Like eating a healthy diet to correct a physiological dysfunction, it's to simple to be believed. We'd rather spend a fortune of health professionals and pharmaceuticals. There is no wrong way, or right way to meditate. This too may lead to further disbelief. The end result is better if you are not fixated on an outcome.
