Nutrition
Educated physical trainers will pinpoint nutritional intake as being far more crucial than the exercise itself, which merely acts as a stimulus for exercise specific adaptation. Nutrition determines your vitality and thus the body's ability to response to exercise stimulus.
"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver."

Information
- The body is an extremely complex system of systems, where structure affects function and vice-a-versa. Although we understand elements of the the building blocks, there are so many variables and interactions at play, that the most sophisticated computing power may never successfully scientifically model all the systems within the human body (David Agus: A new strategy in the war on cancer). And perhaps this is how it should be, as this is what defines nature (see chaos theory).

- But what we have witnessed and instinctively known for thousands of years, is too obvious and less commercially profitable to act upon ...
HEALTH = GENETICS/EPIGENETICS + SLEEP + HYDRATION + NUTRITION + MOVEMENT + ENVIRONMENT + THOUGHT + RELATIONSHIPS (click here for further detail).
-
- "Western medicine" is irreplaceable when it comes to combating infant mortality, treating physical trauma and the end stage of diseases. However the focus on "symptomatic differential diagnosis" means dieases are misdiagnosed, with the underlying physiological deficiency unaddressed. Alternatively, the early stages of the disease simply pass completely undetected until the situation becomes dire.
-
- The bottom line is allopathic medicine is all about diagnosing based on symptoms, followed by diseasease management. The practitioner has no tools at his disposal other than pharmaceutical prescription or referral. What if the focus became health, and what drives it ... a subtle abut incredibly different paradigm. Functional medicine is one of the first steps in this direction. It aims to correct the underlying cause - most often a nutritional deficit; gastro intestinal dysfunction (often caused by diet or pathogens); or stress (be it environmental pollutants, psychological stress, physical stress etc).
-
- Diet is natures medicine. The fact is our epigentics are governed by diet and your bodies development stems from what you have eaten and drunk to date. Addressing matters influencing the factors mentioned in the health equation above and switching to unprocessed fresh organics are primary and most important steps to permanently solving correct health issues.
-
- Functional medicine's diagnostic testing assists where addressing the health equation does not lead to the desired outcome, or where recovery is slow. Testing hones in on the Gastro Intestinal System, Immune System and Endocrine (Hormonal) System. Test results may pinpoint the less obvious factors affecting the health equation.
